WestJet to launch service at Brandon airport

Residents of Brandon  are buzzing over news that WestJet will be flying in and out of the city this year. WestJet announced that it will start landing at the Brandon airport this fall. The Wheat City becomes the 10th location to get service from WestJet’s regional service, known as Encore. Coming of new flights to the city will also attract more visitors coming to the city. The airline is offering introductory one-way fares starting at $99 for flights between Brandon and Calgary. With taxes and fees included, flying from Calgary to Brandon would cost a total of $162. I think this will be a great idea for WestJet because it may increase their benefits.

WestJet goes paperless

Now a days many people forget their boarding pass in their home or somewhere. WestJet recently introduced its paperless Boarding pass, making the Calgary-based airline the first in North America to use this innovative e-format to check in and board. Customers will now be able to proceed through security and board to WestJet plane using a paperless boarding pass displayed on their personal mobile device or any digital device like an iPod or iPad. During the WestJet web check-in process, guests will be presented boarding pass options. If they choose the paperless option, an e-mail boarding pass will be sent to their mobile device or other digital device. Then they simply show their e-mailed pass displayed on their mobile device to proceed through security and onto their flight. So according to me now a days  it's become very easy for customers nowadays to fly.

WestJet Encore launches; shares fall

WestJet shares dropped on Monday even as the airline's new regional discount carrier, WestJet Encore, launched today with flights to Fort St. John, Nanaimo, Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, as well as to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Destinations in Eastern Canada are expected to be added over the next two to three years. WestJet shares fell 3.3 per cent on Monday, trading at $21.90 within minutes of market close. Its stock is still up 10.5 per cent year-to-date. Earlier this month, WestJet shares declined as the company reported a May load factor, a measure of the utilization of the airline's total available capacity, by 78.5 per cent, down from 79.2 per cent in the same month a year ago.
Revenue passenger miles, or traffic, increased 8.2 per cent year-over-year in May, and capacity, measured in available seat miles, was 9.1 per cent higher. The airline flew 1.5 million guests in May, a year-over-year increase of 7.9 per cent or approximately 110,000 additional guests. In the last I can say that WestJet suffer from lot of loss on its shares.

WestJet ranked #1 in customer satisfaction

WestJet ranked number #1 in customer satisfaction. It has the highest customer satisfaction and loyalty among the six most widely Used tour operators in Canada. According to my Opinion this airline gained a customer’s satisfaction because of its ability to Provide non-stop domestic flights over the country. Also it provides hassle Free journey to its customers. WestJet Vacations scored higher than the other Vacation companies for overall satisfaction, likelihood to recommend and Customer service. This airline also reduces the cost without compromising on Customer satisfaction.
But on another side with the attraction of lot of Passengers, this airline lack the availability of seats in their planes. Also They increase their rates but not the planes. Canadian travel Agents have also voted the WestJet Vacations website the best among Approximately 20 tour operators. Travel agent partners recommend to their clients, and their guests continue to make WestJet Vacations their provider of choice. WestJet Vacations provide affordable, reliable and flexible travel experiences to 50 destinations in 15 countries, including the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. In the  last I would say that this airline must increase the numbers of planes because may be in future if any problem occur to more than 3 or 4 planes at a same time, then it will dis-satisfied the passengers because of late schedule.

WestJet

As Canadian most reasonable airline, WestJet was founded in 1996 by Clive Beddoe and a team of Calgary businessmen, operates as a low-cost players in aviation industry. With a motive that just because you pay less for your flight, doesn't mean you should get less. The airline has 36% domestic market share in Canada airlines. The Airline is operating with single fleet model using Boeing 737s with capacity of 119 to 166 passengers. They have philosophy that their journey would help them to become a company of more than 8,800 passionate.

WestJeters flying one of the youngest fleets of Boeing 737 Next-Generation aircraft to more than 80 destinations in North America, Central America and the Caribbean. With the 2008-09 economic crisis, the airline was facing flight occupancy issue in its most of the domestic routes. Lower occupancy has forced Westjet to pull out of Sudburys and Sault Ste market (two of the destinations in Ontario market). The airline is looking to add small Bombardier or Embraer airplanes with approximately 100 seats to its fleet. Including this type of aircraft will abandon the airlines more than a decade long success strategy of operating with single fleet and implementing this new strategy will be a big challenge for management. We can book our flights online at http://www.westjet.com/guest/en/home.shtml . And many more facilities are provided on their website like to book a car or to book a hotel. All the information of your destination is provided on their site.
